At the Y, we believe children discover themselves through interactions with others and having the freedom to explore. Summer Camp immerses children in a community where making friends is natural, exploring new interests is encouraged, and discovering inner strength is guaranteed.
YMCA Camp at Horsethief Reservoir teaches self-reliance, instills a love for nature and the outdoors, and builds character and leadership—all amidst the fun of campfires, canoeing, archery, friends, zip-lining, paddle boarding, mentorships, ropes course, and so much more. YMCA Camp at Horsethief Reservoir is positively the best way to change a child’s life.

Overnight Summer Camps
Summer Resident Camps are overnight camps at Horsethief Reservoir running from Sunday to Friday for nine weeks each summer.
It’s an opportunity for your child to learn skills they can use for life. Through new experiences, new friendships and connections with nurturing counselors, your child can discover their potential and be encouraged to live a life of purpose.
Summer Leadership Camps
At the Y, we believe leadership is a skill that can be learned and is essential for success in life. We understand that developing and practicing these skills early is necessary for teens to recognize their full potential. Y Summer Leadership Camps place teens in a supportive group setting where they can practice leading peers and others. Campers leave better prepared to lead in their schools, churches, and communities.
Family Camp
Don’t let the kids have all the fun this summer! Now the entire family can enjoy the fun of YMCA Summer Camp together! Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor day, and Fall Family Fun! Registration opens Nov 1, 2022.
Conferences, Retreats, Weddings & More
Cradled in the Idaho wilderness, the Horsethief property is a perfect place for groups of all sizes to gather.
We can accommodate many different types of groups for organized events, like business retreats, college student orientations, church group getaways, and peaceful and private gatherings. We offer team-building and recreational programs, conference rooms, audio/visual/technical support, and comfortable lodging to meet all of your needs. Our meeting rooms can accommodate anywhere from 15 to 600 people. Y Camp is an excellent location for building your team, vision and future.
