Meghan’s Y Camp Staff Story
“Two years ago, I started working at Y Camp at Horsethief Reservoir in Cascade as program staff, specifically working the ropes/challenge course. Walking into it, I had no idea just how much this job would mean to me or how big of an impact it would have in my life. Growing up, I didn’t have the best experience with people, and to be honest, never really felt like I had a true home. I found that home at the Y-camp, and I discovered what being part of a close family truly feels like. Working at the Y helped me find a place where I could not only be welcomed and accepted but a place where my voice would be heard and where I could really make a difference in the lives of kids who may be having similar struggles I did.”
